I thought it would be fitting tonight to share this card that Steve gave me last June after I got diagnosed. I love it and will always treasure it. He rarely wrote out notes in cards, so this is very special for me and the children to have.
Why...why...why couldn't his cancer have been curable too?...or at least if we could have split the odds...I guess it doesn't work that way.
Very happy to have surgery completed though...and extremely grateful for all of your thoughts, prayers, good wishes and more. I am fortunate to have an awesome support system...THE awesome-est...and that ain't just the pain meds talkin'. :)
Love to all,
Debbie

What a sweet message from Steve for you to always treasure. So sorry you are in pain. Good grief, enough already, right? Becky W.
ReplyDeleteFeeling better today...as long as I keep taking the meds! :) Thanks so much, Becky!
DeleteOh girl...make me cry. What a gift to share that kind of love with him. I agree it's a pissy outcome - ok my words, not yours...but still. ;) Love you and prayers are continuing. Your Stalker Neighbor - A
ReplyDeleteThe card is incredibly poignant...but only when he added his note. How I wish I could bring reason to your 'Why why why's?" Sorry, I may be able to muster up a bit of inspiration, but not too big on wisdom of the ages. Thinking of you during your recovery. You truly amaze me. And that's not MY meds talking, either. :)
