For my birthday in 2012, we sat out back at the bar that Steve and Pauly built for our wedding. Steve cooked up some lobster. It was amazing! And then we waited anxiously for the two-hour premiere of Mad Men.
I miss some of the simplest things.
Here is a picture of our backyard bar area.

Praying you find some joy on this beautiful day that you were born. I truly enjoy all of your blogs-thank you for continuing to post. I don't know you but God Bless! <3
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. It was a different kind of day, but I made it through! I've heard that special occasions are always usually difficult. At least I know it in advance! Thank you so much for checking in and reading along. This has been a very therapeutic project for me...and I'm hoping the kids appreciate it someday.
DeleteMay God Bless and Comfort you Debbie! What an incredible person you are. Thank you for every blog you have posted. Love, Ron and Judy
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I hope you are both doing well. Love, Debbie
DeleteIt is appropriate that Steve would fix you lobster in your backyard bar. And watch a favorite show together. Why? Because he was celebrating you, and the happiness you brought into his life. The simplest things are missed, because they matter the most. Keep the memories coming. They will uphold you in these dark hours.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Sunshine!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Chrissy! I'm soooooo old!!!!! :)
DeleteI'll never forget how much fun Jacob had helping us work on that bar , and how badly he wanted to be the bartender the night of your wedding . :)
