August 25, 2015

It was so funny when Steve would get spastic about something silly.
Steve could talk an issue into the ground...he was certainly passionate.

For example, when a commercial would come on that included an infant that talked like an adult, it would upset him greatly.  He thought it was creepy and wrong.

And, wow...if anyone brought up Subway Jared in front of him, he could go on for days.  He was not a fan at all.  Since the news about the accusations about Subway Jared broke, I keep feeling like Steve is somewhere saying...'I knew it.  I told you so!'

Yesterday, when the news came about about Colt Reggie Wayne defecting to the Patriots, I thought how hilarious it would have been to see Steve's reaction.  He would have been livid.

I wish that he was still around making me laugh accidentally on-purpose.  It's so strange that I am still trying to process that he is gone.  I don't know if it will ever really sink in.

  1. The thing is he's not gone.....he has simply crossed over to a different place. I have to believe you will be reunited with him some day. Love you. Becky Wiley

  2. A loss like Steve will such a void. But, that great abyss may just fill with laughter from your voice....brought to you in part by Steve, through the goofy antics of his children. His death came about so very quickly, in the midst of so many other events, I am sure that processing it all will take a great deal of time. You have been in such a whirl since your diagnosis that there has barely been a moment to let Steve's absence settle in. Not to be discouraging at all, but girl, you have just been blindsided by so much so fast. In the meantime, you are proving your resilience and determination to carry on. No one can ask for more than that. We are cheering you on.

  3. So now I am worried that my comment that Steve isn't really gone but has simply crossed over will seem like I am trying to minimize how much you miss him. I can only imagine how much you miss him. I am so very sorry you and Steve had to go through all that. Love & Hugs, Becky Wiley
