I am watching the Colts game right now. The Colts are really playing poorly, and it's not the same without Steve swearing and griping at the television. I sure miss him.
There were a couple of sloppy games that I recall watching with him. He would get so fired up that he would go and sit in the entryway afterwards in a lonesome chair all by himself so he could sulk for a bit. He took Colts football very seriously.
Once, after Peyton Manning started playing for the Broncos, Steve accidentally wore orange to work on a Colts day. He emailed me upset that he wasn't supporting his team. I innocently asked if it was that big of a deal since he had worn Peyton's new color. He promptly set me straight explaining that although it was still okay to like Peyton, we could never, ever, ever cheer for him unless the Colts were out of the running for the playoffs. Colts Fans First. : )
I had a win my first week playing Fantasy Football. I am sitting steady right now in the second week. I don't have anyone in tonight, but my opponent has the Jets defense. Traitor! I'm hoping, hoping, hoping for another win.
You deserve a win. In life. It is coming. Do not lose hope.
