Steve introduced me to one of our favorite hangouts the very first year we met. Since then, we have been there many, many times. I mentioned it in a post yesterday.
Blue Moon is a small bar here on the Eastside of Indianapolis, I have many Blue Moon stories, so I can't tell them all at once. Our routine is always the same. We walk in and go straight to one of the game machines. Steve may have introduced me to Blue Moon when we met...but I introduced him to PhotoHunt...one of the best inventions EVER.
PhotoHunt is an absolutely awesome game. The purpose is to look at two photographs and find five things that are different. These five things can be so subtle that it is nearly impossible to figure out. Did anyone else out there ever read Highlights magazine when they were a child? There was a feature called, Spot the Differences, where you picked out 24 discrepancies between two pictures. That's the game!
Now, for many of you this next statement won't matter, because you've never played PhotoHunt...never even heard of it. But for those who have played, I want to be clear about something at this juncture. There are two versions of PhotoHunt on these machines...the NOT erotic version and erotic version. Just to clear things up right now...We play the not erotic version with fruit bowls and scenery :)...seriously...the erotic version is just weird.
From PhotoHunt, we have graduated to include many other games in our repertoire. There is a Wheel of Fortune game, memory games, strategy games, trivia games etc. I know it sounds silly, but it's our thang...something we enjoy doing together. It is low-cost entertainment and so fun! The whole time I was pregnant with Poppy, I still went into game withdrawal, and we would go and play at least a couple of times a month.
We are usually able to get the top score on any of our favorites and enjoy our notoriety until the scores are wiped out the following week. Sometimes we have to try for the high score repeatedly! But there is no giving up!
Shortly after we got married, Steve purchased our very own PhotoHunt machine. It is an old-school version, and we got so much use out of it originally...but eventually, we started heading back to Blue Moon again. It is always great to see all of our friends and the cast of characters who frequent the place month after month.
The day after we were on the Channel 6 news, our friend, Lee from Blue Moon, left a message on the blog. It was so nice to hear from him. We miss you and the gang, too! And when we come back, you will have to help us shoo away any newcomers sitting in our seats (who can't possibly beat our scores anyway!) :).
